LOOKING FOR YOUR WATERTOWN ANCESTORS?
The Historical Society of Watertown offers a research service for those looking for Watertown ancestors. You do not have to be a resident of Watertown to enjoy this service. The only requirement is that your ancestor be a former Watertown resident (1630-present).
We have access to all of the old town records and ship passenger lists. You will be given a printed document, containing the information in a clear chronological order.
Local History Room, located on the second floor of the library, is open to the public during regular library hours. Materials may be used within the building, but not checked out. They are searchable in the online catalog.
If you need assistance, a Reference Librarian is available on Tuesdays from 11 to 1 and Wednesdays from 4 to 6, or by appointment. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a time that works for your schedule.
